Ben was appointed the Vice Principal of Brilliant International Private School in February 2020 and more recently Acting Principal. A graduate of both Liverpool Hope and Chester Universities in the United Kingdom, Ben holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology with Mathematics, PGDip IT and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics. He is also current studying towards his National Professional Qualification of Headship (NPQH).

Ben is an educator with over 18 years’ experience within the public school sector in the UK and private within the UAE. Throughout his teaching career he has delivered Mathematics and ICT to Secondary school pupils alongside managing and implementing new initiatives to improve the overall education experience of his pupils. His Leadership experience has ranged from Head of Department to Acting Principal, with lots of other roles in between. He believes that his classroom experience and knowledge has allowed him to be a better manager to his staff and ultimately deliver a greater experience to the pupils he is employed to educate. Bens background knowledge of ICT use within schools has allowed him to develop technology within the classroom for staff and students, especially during the recent pandemic.

Ben lives in Dubai with his wife and 5 year old daughter. His wife is also a Maths teacher! They have all enjoyed living in the UAE for the past 4 years, with all of its travel and cultural opportunities. Ben also enjoys reading in his spare time, Clive Cussler being his favourite author.
